Division B Drone Project

Hello my name is Mr. E. J. Williams. I am a 5th grade mathematics and science teacher at PS 29 (Gladys Nunery School) in Jersey City, NJ. Ms. Grant and I have introduced using drones to our students in 4th and 5th grade. They are very exited to fly the drones and incorporate using them to solve math problems. We invited students & parents to a "family drone night" where we instructed them on how to safely operate a drone and calculate the speed by measuring distance and timing them. Students and parents alike had a wonderful time and were very engaged. I look forward to continuing using drones to further enrich our stem program.
